Memoir helps you understand Ethereum and Base transactions and wallet activity. Start with a transaction hash, public address, or your own list of addresses. Browser-side tools read public sources, explain what they observed, and keep missing coverage visible. AI is optional; the core checks need no account, wallet connection, or model credential.

Choose the question you need answered
- Explain a transaction: check execution status, asset movements, permission events, fees, and optional internal calls. Paste a transaction ID or explorer link in the home search; Memoir checks supported networks when needed and keeps ambiguous or unavailable results visible.
- Follow funds: start from an observed transfer and follow selected later transfers. Each step keeps its source and limits; a later transfer does not prove it contains the same funds.
- Check a balance: compare two block-pinned balance observations with available changes for one address and asset. Unexplained differences stay visible.
- Understand risk signals: open an address and use Public signals to inspect each source's findings, date, scope, and suggested next checks. No match is not a safety verdict.
- Find assets across wallets: add addresses you choose to a browser-local list, search their returned holdings, and refresh each source independently. This does not infer common ownership.
- Watch changes: choose an asset, direction, and minimum change. Checks run only while the page is open, visible, and online; rules and retained alerts stay on this device.
For a broader record, investigate an address or ENS name to browse account facts, assets and positions, public signals, direct relationships, and the chronological ledger.
Additional public-source checks run automatically in stages on the live address page. Before AI analysis, you can wait for pending checks or review the currently available evidence. The overview includes loaded public signals and source-check results; a manual selection includes only the items you chose. The review freezes the evidence and its coverage before anything is sent to AI.
From public records to a result
- Start with what you have. Paste an address, ENS name, transaction ID, or explorer link into the home search. Address results include activity and public risk signals; transaction results offer explanation and funds tracing. More tools covers balance checks, multi-wallet assets, and watch rules. Memoir never asks for a seed phrase, private key, signing permission, or wallet connection.
- Read sources independently. Account history, holdings, protocol state, public labels, sanctions data, and other signals can succeed or fail separately.
- Inspect the answer and its limits. Results distinguish verified observations, contract-emitted claims, source failures, and unanswered questions. The ledger's reversible noise filter retains the original records and explains what was hidden.
- Select what matters. Where AI review is offered, explicitly select the records or facts to send. Configure a provider on the review screen if needed; hosted-provider charges may apply.
- Keep a copy. Completed and failed AI reports preserve their evidence in this browser's Reports archive, with Save PDF for portable reading. Tasks offer their own evidence downloads where applicable. Public sample-report links are shareable; local report links do not upload or share private report contents.
What works without AI
AI is not required to fetch or browse public records. The following remain deterministic and inspectable:
What AI changes—and what it does not
AI can summarize, compare, and propose evidence-linked interpretations. It does not fetch a hidden version of the address, silently expand the selected evidence, or turn a public label into verified identity.
The analyzed snapshot is frozen when the request starts. Records loaded later do not silently enter an in-flight report. Every completed or failed report preserves the context used at that moment.
Users choose the provider and model. Hosted-provider credentials and prompts travel directly from the browser to that provider, not through a Memoir AI proxy.
Free forever. No paid tier.
Memoir is free forever. We will never charge users in any form: no subscriptions, usage fees, credits, or paid features. Exploring evidence, using the tools, and saving or exporting results will always be free.
If you choose to connect your own AI provider, that provider may charge for its service. Those charges are separate from Memoir; we add no fee. AI is optional, and investigating public data does not require it.
How to read the result
- Evidence is a returned onchain or public-index observation.
- Signal is a named source's statement or a reproducible metric over loaded evidence.
- Interpretation is an AI explanation that must cite supplied evidence or signal IDs.
- Coverage records what responded, what was partial, and what remains unknown.
